Injectable Dermal Filler Description
Juvéderm
filler injection is one of the
most popular dermal filling agents
at the Knight Dermatology Institute.
It is a “next generation”
injectable gel dermal filler made
from hyaluronic acid, a naturally
occurring molecule in our bodies.
 Natural
hyaluronic acid decreases with
age, contributing to the formation
of wrinkles and folds. Juvéderm
filler injection works to correct
this problem; replacing hyaluronic
acid helps to hydrate the skin
and add volume.
Juvéderm injection is
the ONLY hyaluronic acid filler
FDA approved to last up to one
year. A unique manufacturing process
provides a high concentration
of hyaluronic acid for long-lasting
results. This process also gives
the gel a smooth consistency.
Juvéderm flows easily into
the skin and provides a smooth,
natural look and feel.
Juvéderm™ is highly
customizable to our patients’
needs. Two formulations are available:

Juvéderm™ Ultra,
for most facial wrinkles,
lips, and superficial creases.

Juvéderm™ Ultra
Plus, for volumizing and correcting
deeper folds and wrinkles.
We use Juvéderm injection
gel primarily to correct "laugh
lines," "smile lines,”
"parentheses" (nasolabial
folds), "marionette lines,”
and to volumize the lips. It can
also be used in specialized areas
such as near the eyes and in the
upper cheek.
All "After
Photos" are unretouched photographs
taken
immediately after treatment.
Juvederm Side Effects
Juvéderm filler injection
is not derived from animals, and
no skin tests are required prior
to treatment. There is
minimal recovery or downtime after
treatment.
