Do dermal filler injections hurt?

Dermal filler application does require a needle, so you will feel a pinch during the procedure. Some Juvederm applications have an anesthetic built-in to numb the sensation during the procedure. You may also have pain at the injection site eased with ice or a topical anesthetic ointment.

Is there any downtime associated with dermal filler injections?

You can resume most activities right after your treatment but should plan on avoiding intense exercise for about 24 hours. You may have slight swelling or bruising at the injection sites.
